Aurelio Ojeda

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aurelio Ojeda, chief  accountant of Camacol. He passed away last night at Palmetto General Hospital after a courageous battle against liver disease.

Aurelio was a dedicated professional who served our institution with distinction.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated tomorrow, Tuesday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 1301 West Flagler Street, Miami. Interment to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Miami, Florida.

We appreciate your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for Aurelio’s family and our institution.

We will miss Aurelio’s professionalism and friendship.

Con gran tristeza les informamos del fallecimiento de Aurelio Ojeda, jefe de contabilidad de la Camacol. Aurelio falleció anoche en el Palmetto General Hospital luego de una larga y valiente batalla contra un padecimiento del hígado.

Aurelio era un profesional dedicado que sirvió nuestra institución con esmero. 

Una misa de Cristiana Sepultura será celebrada mañana Martes, 12 de Octubre a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia San Juan Bosco, 1301 West Flagler Street, Miami. Al finalizar la misa el cortejo fúnebre se dirigirá hacia el Cementerio Católico Our Lady of Mercy, 11411 NW 25th Street, Miami, Florida.

Por favor tengan presente en sus oraciones en estos momentos difíciles a la familia de Aurelio, así como nuestra institución.

Extrañaremos el profesionalismo y amistad de Aurelio.

CITY-COUNTY TEAM UP TO SECURE FEDERAL FUNDING FOR PORT OF MIAMI DEEP DREDGE PROJECT

(Miami-Dade) July 13, 2010 - Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez asked community leaders today to send a message to Washington about one of South Florida's most critical infrastructure improvement projects, the Port of Miami Deep Dredge project, which would deepen Miami Harbor to - 50 feet to accommodate the world's largest cargo container vessels.

The Mayor has joined forces with City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado and other local elected and business leaders in seeking $75 million in federal funding to move the project forward. Along with the port tunnel, now under construction, the Deep Dredge is a major infrastructure improvement that will enable the port to double its cargo capacity over the next decade.
