Urgent Notice : U.S.Department of Agriculture

TO: Our Valued Customers

SUBJECT: Re-Export Shipments to Canada

Effective immediately all Plant Re-Export Shipments to Canada will include both the import permit and the inbound import Phytosanitary certificate to be uploaded/scanned into your PCIT applications before we can issue the export Phytosanitary certificate. The inbound Phytosanitary certificates are for PLANTS ONLY going to Canada. If you fail to include the inbound Phytosanitary certificate, this will delay the issuance of the USDA PPQ 579 certificate. The officer cannot add the inbound Phytosanitary certificate to your application, this must be done at the time you submit your application in PCIT.

Your cooperation and attention in this matter is appreciated. If there is a need for further clarification of this memo, please feel to call the Export Department at (305) 492-1849/1850.
